Dhanush Ganesh

I'm currently pursuing a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UIUC, where I'm diving deep into Computer Systems and Architecture. My journey began with a fascination for how computers work, which led me to a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a course on building a computer from the ground up. This curiosity fueled my previous role as a firmware development engineer at Western Digital, where I developed firmware for OptiNAND technology and tackled intricate system-level challenges.

I have also explored the Robotics and Automotive domains in college - and built a low-cost Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) project using ROS, LiDAR, and vision sensors. I also had the incredible opportunity to be part of the RVCE Solar Car Team, where I contributed to the design and development of electronic systems for solar-powered racecars.

When I'm not immersed in technology, I’m stargazing and learning about astronomy, with hopes of becoming an astrophotographer. My journey is like a puzzle, with each piece bringing me closer to understanding and solving complex challenges, both in technology and in the cosmos.
